Originating in Japan in 1990, metal clay consists of very small particles of a metal such as silver, gold, bronze, or copper mixed with an organic binder and water, and can be shaped like any soft clay by hand or using molds. After drying, the clay is fired at high temperature and the binder burns away, leaving the pure metal.
This ring is made from EZ 960 sterling silver clay, which is 96% sterling silver and 4% copper. It has a rounded, chunky band and is set with a cubic zirconia gemstone available in three colors.
